International mobile firm Vodafone recently struck a three-year deal with the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever. Vodafone will provide the latter with 50,000 handsets as well as connectivity in 64 different markets globally.
According to reports, Vodafone Global Enterprise will give devices to 50,000 Unilever employees and manage all their connectivity and other mobile service needs. Unilver will also take Vodafone on a consultancy on how it can achieve heightened advantage over all competition via the utilization of mobile solutions.
Vodafone said that the new working partnership will improve Unilever operations and make it more cost efficient for the company to expand business in existing markets. The new deal will also allow Unilever more transparency in its mobile spending and develop service delivery.
Finally, both companies have expressed eagerness to begin a graduate trainee exchange program. The exchange will help encourage “mobile innovation in the workplace and create an atmosphere more conducive to productivity”, said Vodafone execs.
