Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL) has signed a deal with Nokia Siemens Networks technology to support the Launch of its 3 G network in India. Nokia Siemens Networks will provide network implementation and managed services to ensure a smooth rollout, improved network performance and seamless introduction of new services. The company will also provide its NetAct network management system to monitor, manage and optimize the 3G/HSPA+ network, and supply other operational support systems which will allow TTSL to offer high-quality mobile broadband providing fast Internet browsing and better quality voice calls.“There is huge demand for mobile Internet access in India, and that’s what 3G brings,” said Mr. AG Rao, chief technology officer and president, Enterprise Business, TTSL. “We want to move quickly, which is why we’re the first to secure our key 3G technology and services supplier. Nokia Siemens Networks has demonstrated capabilities in our previous 2G deployments, and with its technological superiority it has facilitated us with the fastest time-to-market for new services, and the best value for combined operating and capital costs on 3G mobile network.”

It already serves many of the world’s leading 3G operators from its Global Network Solutions Centers located in Noida and Chennai, and these centers will be able to support TTSL from day one.
