Nokia and US-based Intuit has partnered to launch a messaging service named as “GoConnect“, under which small businesses can send SMS’ to their customers about their products and services. Nokia will deliver this service from its Priority Dealers and Oxicash stores.
Aimed at small businesses with up to 10 employees, the ‘GoConnect’ service will help companies send information on products and other details to their customers in a personalised manner.
According to Nokia India sales director Vipul Sabharwal, small businesses can deepen their relationships through targeted communication, which results in increased repeat visit from customers. This is targeted at small businesses, for example, a florist, who has a dedicated clientele and the messages sent out are more personalized.
Currently its being launched as a pilot in Delhi and Chandigarh, Nokia expects to roll out ‘GoConnect’ across the country by early 2011. Currently its available in 2 subscription plans.

Features of GoConnect Messaging service:
- Flexibility to access GoConnect from either your mobile phone or online from a PC, or both depending on your preference!
- A Home page that displays a summary of your status (customer total, SMS left, offers sent), your recently sent messages, and a list of popular messages for your type of business.
- Add and organise customers into groups and then send messages targeted to a specific group or individuals.
- Send messages to customers via SMS.
- Personalise messages you send to your customers. For example, if you’re a florist who tracks customer anniversaries, you can send your customer a message asking if they’d like to send flowers to their spouse.
- Receive and track responses from your customers. Responses help you track the effectiveness of your messages.
