Social networking on mobile phones is increasing with time and this can be well estimated from the figures which show that Nimbuzz has recorded 2.5 million of users in India. Nimbuzz which is known for offering the social networking applications has further stated that 6 million of the users log into their applications every day.
As per the country head of Nimbuzz, Jamshed V Rajan, globally Nimbuzz has crossed a mark of 30 million members and in India the number is 2.5 million. In India, the maximum number of download for Nimbuzz comes from Nokia Ovi Store and GetJar.
It was stated by Rajan that services of push notification will be launched by the company for the Symbian and the Java platforms by the end of this year. Application of Nimbuzz Ping will also be launched by the year end and this application will allow the offline users to know if someone wants to chat with them.
